Where the browser stops
Every tool here is free and unlimited up to a real technical wall, and we would rather name that wall than pretend it is a pricing decision. A browser tab has a fixed amount of memory and stops running when you close it, which is genuinely fine for one photo or one clip and genuinely not fine for a shoebox of tapes or a hundred-frame integration run.
- Text translator: A web page cannot read text from your other applications — translating anything on screen with a hotkey needs the desktop app.
- Audio transcriber: About 30 minutes at a time, and it cannot caption audio from outside the browser — that needs the desktop app.
- Image upscaler: Very large photos exceed what a browser tab can hold; batches and full-length video need the desktop app.
- Image stacker: Long integration runs across hundreds of full-resolution frames need the desktop app.
- Photo set checker: Reconstruction itself needs a dedicated GPU and runs in the desktop app.
- Joint angle measurer: Full sessions, multi-camera capture, and animation export need the desktop app.
- Video upscaler: Roughly 30 seconds at a time; full-length footage and batches need the desktop app.
